Children at Work, artsdepot, Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley, from Saturday until May 17, from 9am to 5.30pm, and some evenings
According to Lalit Nagpaul, from Woodside Park, his photographs show what any visitor to India would not be able to avoid seeing - "the largest number of working children in the world".
Mr Nagpaul, 74, who was a magistrate for 18 years before retirement, took the photographs over the past two years on his annual visits to India. He hopes they will raise awareness of the children who miss out on a normal childhood and are sometimes denied basic human rights.
He says: "The images I've taken are a social record and give a glimpse of these children's energy and ability to keep cheerful despite the tremendous hardship they face each day."
