Gannett Foundation Fund UK 2008 Grant

The Gannett Foundation is the charitable arm of Gannett Co Inc, owners of the Haringey Independent newspaper.

The Gannett Foundation provides funding to support local organisations within the circulation area of the newspapers, and supports projects which take a creative approach to fundamental issues such as education and neighbourhood improvements, youth development, cultural enrichment and support for disadvantaged people.

Grants are not given to:

  • Individuals.
  • Organisations which are not registered charities.
  • National or regional organisations, unless the project addresses specific local commuity needs.
  • Promotion of religious causes.
  • Medical or research organisations.
  • Animal charities.

Grants will be for between £1000 and £5000, but large grants may be made for exceptional projects.

Applications must be submitted on the application form before March 20 2008, which can be downloaded by clicking here. Application forms received after March 20 2008 will not be considered for a Gannett Foundation Grant.
