A robber targeting women is being hunted by police following a third mugging in Parkland Walk in less than a month.
On June 26 at 1.45pm two women were dragged into the bushes by a man who robbed them of their cash.
Both women suffered minor injuries.
It is the third attack against female walkers using the four-and-a-half-mile walk in the last four weeks with all three incidents occurring on a Saturday.
Parkland Walk, London's longest nature reserve, runs from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace and is a favourite of nature enthusiasts, joggers and cyclists.
Sergeant Skinner, from Haringey Q Cars squad, said: "There is no reason for people to be overly alarmed, but we are asking for people to be alert when using Parkland Walk.
"Residents should be reassured to know we are doing everything we can to find the man responsible for these incidents. Police officers have been conducting daily patrols, high visibility and plain clothes on foot and on bikes, with assistance from the air support unit and the parks constabulary."
The first ambush happened on May 31 at 3.40pm when two women in their 60s were also pulled into the undergrowth by a man who stole their purses and money before heading in the direction of Finsbury Park.
On June 7 at 7.45pm a second pair of women in their 40s were approached by a man who demanded their money.
During a struggle, one of the women fell and hit her head. Again the man headed towards Finsbury Park.
Police are appealing for any information and urge anyone who saw a suspicious person to contact the robbery squad on 020 8324 0855 or call crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
