Spurs on the verge of landing Palace wonderkid
    John Bostock
    John Bostock

TOTTENHAM look set to sign Crystal Palace's exciting teenage midfielder John Bostock, according to reports.

The 16-year-old has been billed in some quarters as the country's brightest prospect, and Spurs appear to be the favourites to land the attacker, although it will set the club back at least £5million.

Bostock is the England under-17 captain, and having grown up in London as a Palace fan, Tottenham would appear to be an attractive option.

The youngster made his debut for the Eagles last October, at just 15-years-old but has struggled to hold down a regular place in Neil Warnock's side.

Spurs' Director of football Damian Comolli has acted swiftly after Bostock's schoolboy contract expired last week.

It's transfers like this that are killing football. I mean, Palace have invested the best part of a decade in this boy only for spurs to tap him up and sign him for next to nothing. Palace for all their efforts will recieve a paltry amount of cash. I have been following the progress of Bostock for three years now (as have many palace fans) and we're all very disappointed that he couldn't repay the club that he 'loves' with at least a single season. Oh and by the way you have a few facts wrong in your article. Firstly Bostock hasn't failed to hold down a place in the first team, he was not 100% earlier in the season and more recently has been studying for his GCSEs'.
You might want to note that he's played a holding midfielder role in all 4 games that I have seen him, and not an attacking midfield.
