SAMUEL Eto'o has put Tottenham on red alert by admitting that he would welcome a move to the Premier League.
Spurs boss Juande Ramos has been linked with a £15 million move for the Barcelona striker as he seeks a replacement for wantaway Dimitar Berbatov.
And the Spaniard will be delighted to hear that Cameroon international Eto'o (pictured) reckons he could be a big hit in the Premier League.
"The Premiership is a top league, so to play there will be fantastic and a good challenge," Eto'o told Skysports.com.
"I want to be a top scorer there as well. I am a top plater and I can play in any country."
Should Spurs fail to sign Eto'o, Ramos is believed to be ready with a bid for Chelsea star Nicolas Anelka.
Spurs have reportedly already made an enquiry for the French international.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs would be willing to pay £15 million to lure Anelka - who only joined the west Londoners from Bolton in Jaunary - to White Hart Lane.
Valencia striker David Villa remains another target.
Simon Yates is best known as the man who cut the rope holding his climbing partner on a Peruvian mountain in 1985, a story captured in the film Touching the Void. Miriam Craig talks to the mountaineer ahead of his visit to Potters Bar.
Three smokers have been fined for throwing cigarette butts on the street outside pubs and clubs.
Tottenham MP David Lammy has been promoted by Gordon Brown to the role of Minister of State for Higher Education.
ARSENAL legend Ian Wright insists he does not want to see his former club's bitter rivals Spurs get relegated, but he has warned that drastic changes need to be made at White Hart Lane if that is to become reality.
Campaigners will stage a protest this Friday against what they see as a drug-pushing culture in the treatment of mental illness.
