Spurs target Eto'o would welcome Premier League move

SAMUEL ETO'O has given Juande Ramos a major boost by declaring that he would love to play in the Premier League.
Speculation is rife that Cameroon international Eto'o will seek a move away from Barcelona this summer, and with Tottenham keen to find a replacement four outward-bound striker Dimitar Berbatov, Eto'o's latest revelation will be music to Ramos' ears.
Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus had been linked with a move for the 27-year-old hitman, and it is thought that their spending power would have ruled Spurs out of the race. However Eto'o insisted the Premier League holds great sway for him and he is convinced that would thrive on the fast-paced nature of the English game.
"The Premier League is very good," the three-time African Player of the Year said in Metro. "The English league is of a very high standard and to play there would be fantastic.
"I would love to be the top scorer there because I am a top level player and I can play well in any country."
It has been rumoured that Spurs were willing to offer Berbatov for Eto'o in a swap deal, although no official bid has yet been made.
